We had a wonderful time at the Diva Half Marathon Health and Fitness Boutique. We met fabulous women who love to run. One of them lost 100 pounds and another 70 since they started running. One woman told me it was her sixth 5k and she has never felt better. I am a biker and walker, but their enthusiasm for running is motivating me to train for a 5k.

We are going to be showing and selling our You Go Girl! fitnesswear at the Diva's Health and Fitness Boutique today, Oct. 4, from 4 - 7 and tomorrow from 10 - 6.  The run is on Sunday and you can still register at the boutique.  It is located at 1 Charles Lindbergh Boulevared, Uniondale, LI.  It is right off  exit M4 on the Meadowbrook Parkway.  Check out their website www.runlikeadiva.com 

If you haven't been to Charles Lindbergh Boulevard there's a lot to do there; a children's museum, a plantarium, an aviation museum and a carousel.

Nyad 1st to Swim to Florida From Cuba Without Cage

Looking dazed and sunburned, U.S. endurance swimmer Diana Nyad walked ashore Monday, becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without the help of a shark cage.

Hello Again!

It has been quite a while since our first post.  Much has happened since then.  A month after we launched our website last September, our lives were turned upside down by Super Storm Sandy.  It's 10 months later and we are still not back to where we were before the storm.  You might have seen our neighborhood of Gerritsen Beach on the news.  Our friends and family here were equally or even more effected.   Seeing a light at the end of the tunnel we have slowly started to devote some time to getting new products and looking for venues to display our products.We have recently added sunglasses and socks. 

On October 4 and 5 we are going to be at a 2 day health and fitness boutique being held at the Divas Half Marathon and 5K on Long Island.  Here is the link to find out about this fun weekend: www.runlikeadiva.com  We will be offering a special boutique discount.  Women who participated have told us it's a great event. Welcome to the first entry of our blog!  I write this as our website is still being developed and perfected.  It is nearly complete at this time.

While we do have a Facebook page, we hope the blog will be very different and also engaging.  We invite our customers to send us pictures to post here.  Pictures should be of yourself, wearing something from YGG perhaps while doing your workout or other activity.
